Q1 Check-In: Are You Still Steering the Ship?

We’re three months into 2026.

Remember those goals you set back in January?
The resolutions, the fresh start, the “this is my year” energy?

Let’s check in.

If you’ve read some of my past blogs, you know this isn’t a new topic for me. I’ve written about getting started, overcoming procrastination, building discipline, staying consistent during busy seasons … and apparently, I have a lot to say about it.

Why?

Because it matters. And because it’s not as simple as we all wish it were.

These days, it feels like everywhere you turn, someone is selling the one thing.
The one workout.
The one supplement.
The one skincare routine.

As if there’s a single answer that works for everyone.

There isn’t.

You can Google your way into a million different strategies, but at the end of the day, none of them matter unless you figure out what works for you.

That means getting honest.

Where are your roadblocks?
What keeps getting in your way?
What do you tend to avoid?

I call these your patterns – and once you see them, you get to decide:
Am I willing to do the work to MIH (make it happen)?

Sometimes the best advice is still the simplest.

Back in 1988, Nike launched their now-iconic phrase: Just Do It.
Not complicated. Not fancy. Just clear.

And it worked.

Over the next 10 years, their sales grew from $877 million to $9.2 billion. That didn’t happen overnight. It happened because they stayed the course.

There’s a lesson in that.

We love quick fixes, but real change doesn’t happen that way.
It takes time. It takes repetition. It takes showing up – again and again.

So here’s your Q1 check-in:

Over the past three months…
Did you get in most of your workouts? (Not all – most.)
Did you make more supportive choices than not?
Did you show up for yourself 75–80% of the time?

Because that’s what progress actually looks like.

Not perfection.
Consistency.

And if the answer is no?

That’s okay too.

This is your moment to adjust the sails.

Maybe the wind knocked you off course.
Maybe life got busy.
Maybe your plan wasn’t realistic to begin with.

So now what?

You steer the ship again.

Not with guilt.
Not with an all-or-nothing mindset.
But with a small, clear decision:

What’s one thing I can commit to this week?

At Wilder Pilates, we don’t chase quick fixes.
We build strength, awareness, and consistency over time.

Because the real transformation?
It’s not in the big, flashy moments.

It’s in the quiet ones.
The ones where you show up – even when you don’t feel like it.

If you’re feeling off track, this is exactly where we start.
A private session gives you a clear plan tailored to your body, your goals, and where you are right now.

Or, if you’re ready for consistency and accountability, a small group class can help you stay on course week after week.

You don’t need to figure it all out on your own.

So here’s your reminder:

You don’t need a new year.
You don’t need a perfect plan.

You just need to keep going.

Just Do It
